A friendly environment and environmentally friendly!

So our environment can be as healthy as our salads.

We hate thinking about the future of plastic. Using and chucking disposable bowls can clutter our environment by an extra 300 pieces of plastic per person every year. Most of it ends up in landfills, but quite a bit of it flows through storm drains and out into our oceans as well. So, we at Just Salad decided to do something to help cut back on lunchtime litter. Our bowls are made of dense material that is dishwasher safe and durable enough to use forever. To make our customers even more eager to re-use our bowls, we offer 2 free toppings every time they do.

Because we want our customers to enjoy using their bowls, we created them in three bright and stylish colors: green, orange and white. This has lead many customers to use them for much more than salads. We've heard about leftover soup containers, change containers, and even crayon holders. Other customers have decorated and personalized their bowls so there is absolutely no risk of mixing up a salad in the office refrigerator!

Of course, for those people who simply need to eat and run we will recycle left-over bowls for them. Every Just Salad has a Bowl Donation Bin. We pass along all bowls to local homeless shelters and soup kitchens.

Our re-usable bowl program's success is most evident during the lunchtime rush when one can spot loyal customers from blocks away as they march towards the Just Salad store with their colorful bowls in hand; stomachs and bowls ready to be filled again.
