I went to Just Salad on maiden lane, and someone on staff made a mistake. The customer he was helping seemed a little upset, and the employee belted out in an opera-like/blues bar tone ‘We’re only humannnnnnn, we’re bound to make mistakes..” I laughed out loud so hard. The rest of the employees joined in the song clapping and dancing. It was really cute.

What is your ideal salad/wrap?

I love the turkey club salad, but I’m trying to be super healthy, so I substitute carrots for the multigrain croutons; my two free toppings (Ed. Note: from the reusable bowl!) are a whole egg and edamame (soooo good)… Then I usually add avocado. My dressing of choice is the honey dijon (because that’s what I prefer on my turkey club sandwich, so why shouldn’t it go on my turkey club salad?!!). Chopped salad, no bread (natch).

Favorite Topping?

Lately it’s the edamame.

Which topping are you most afraid of/nervous to try?

Beets

What topping do you wish we had?

Raw cashews.

Favorite Just Salad moment or other food memory?

I love going into the store and Brandi treats me like I’m special, so every time I’m there and she’s there (which is pretty much every time I’m there), it’s a special little moment in my day.

CAKE!

Perfect day would be 2 hours of tennis outdoors on a beautiful day followed by an all-day outing watching great tennis at the US Open… and guiltlessly eating at its food court.
